FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State University Men’s lacrosse team releases their 15-game spring schedule for 2024.
This Season the Rams will kick off their season by inviting their Colorado State counterpart, CSU Pueblo up to Fort Collins for our first competition on January 27th (Loveland Sports Park), followed by the annual scrimmage against Colorado College on their turf (2/3, @CC) which is a game that honors Coach Flip Naumburg who had an incredibly successful coaching career coaching both schools. We’ll be wrapping up our early season with the high energy Border War against the University of Wyoming (2/10, Loveland Sports Park).
To start the season the Rams will be stretching our wings and flying to Oklahoma to compete against Purdue and the University of Oklahoma. (Norman, OK)
To break in our home field after the trip we will be playing last year’s MCLA runner up Virginia Tech (3/5, CSU Football Practice Turf), and Idaho’s Boise State University (3/9, CSU Football Practice Turf). The Rams will hit the road again to the beautiful state of California to compete against Stanford and Santa Clara University. To continue the California trend, the Rams will host longtime rival University of California Santa Barbara here on campus on our IM Fields. The Gauchos and the Rams had some incredible battles in the past, many during tournament play.
The Rams will close out their regular season with five straight RMLC games this season. Everything comes to down to conference play in what is considered the most competitive conference in the MCLA. We will begin our string of competitions with an away bus trip to Salt Lake City to compete against University of Utah and Utah Tech. We will then be hosting Utah Valley here at CSU and competing against BYU in Canvas stadium! This year's Rocky Mountain Showdown will be in Boulder against the University of Colorado.
