HEAD DIRECTOR - FLIP NAUMBURG
Head coach of the successful Colorado State Rams, four time MCLA national champion
(1999, 2001, 2003, 2006), Naumburg has been involved with lacrosse in the state of Colorado for
a long time. After graduating from Colorado College in 1975, Naumburg spent a period of
time coaching at CC and in California before returning to coach the Rams in 1997. In his
years at the helm of CSU, the Rams have enjoyed unprecedented success, mostly thanks
to Naumburg's focus on "family" and brotherhood, two of the main points of emphasis
in the CSU Ram Camp. In addition to coaching at the collegiate level, Naumburg is
the co-founder of the Vail Lacrosse Shootout, one of the premiere summer lacrosse events
in the county. In its 31st year, the Shootout has become one of the iconic images
on the landscape of Colorado lacrosse. Naumburg is also the owner and founder of Rock-it
Pocket, a stringing method for lacrosse sticks and the main sponsor for the CSU Ram Camp. In fall of 2006, he was elected to the Colorado Lacrosse Foundation Hall of Fame.
