# 4 Colorado State Smokes Fort Lewis 24-6, Await RMILL
Tourney Next Weekend
Durango, CO- An eight hour bus from the opposite end
of the state did not
deter the USLIAs 4th ranked team as the Colorado State Rams easily
handled
RMILL division I foe Fort Lewis on an extremely blustery day in Durango.
Colorado State exploded for eight first period goals and led 13-2 at
the
half in the win. Sophomore Kelten Johnson (2g, 4a), a transfer from
Fort
Lewis at the start of the year, had six points, second to Mike Napolillis
five goals and three assists for game high.
Johnson got the first goal just over a minute in and
the Rams never looked
back in a game that saw every suited player get playing time. Sophomore
attackman Nick Stanitz-Harper (5g) continued his goal scoring explosion
and
junior midfielder Jared Katz (1g, 3a) also turned in a solid effort.
The win leaves Coach Naumburgs squad with a final
regular season record of
12-4 overall and 4-1 in conference. Next week, the Rams travel to Provo,
UT
for the RMILL Championships and a familiar face lining up on the opposite
side. The Rams will play Colorado on Friday and will move to the RMILL
championship game and the winner of Brigham Young/Utah with a win.
