After almost a two week layoff, including a disappointing snow out in Fort Lewis, the #5 ranked Colorado State Rams took their game to Greeley, Colorado to take on the University of Northern Colorado. State scored early and often while cruising to an easy 24-4 win. State jumped out of the gate early using the excellent skills of face-off men Pat Lambert and Andy Wolper (1g, 0a), who won every single face-off in the first half. Starting attackmen Mike Roth (4 goals, 3 assists), Mike Napolilli (4g, 5a), and Ryan Ferrin (3g, 2a and a great job backing up the cage) came out strong as CSU led 6-0 at the end of the first quarter and 11-2 at half.

UNC mounted a small run in the second quarter as they scored two goals in a row, but after that, the Ram defense put on the heat allowing only two more scattered goals throughout the game. The rest of the game saw State get everyone a lot of time as they dominated every phase of the game. Playing well for CSU in place of the starters were Todd Clements (4g, 0a) and Josh Ruth (0g, 2a). Andy ěRudyî Kliewer made 6 saves in the second half to seal the victory for the Rams. Next up for CSU are two huge home games with up and coming Utah Valley State College and bitter rival #4 BYU. This weekendís games will go a long way in determining the seeding for the RMILL championship in Fort Collins next month.
