CSU got the scoring early as senior attackmen Danny Stevens (Suffern HS; Suffern, NY) and Brian Stone (Air Academy HS; Colorado Springs, CO) combined for the game’s first three goals within the first five minutes of the game. CSU scored five more times before Utah State was able to get on the board at the end of the quarter to end the first frame 9-1 in favor of the Rams.

Sophomore Will Cantwell (Lakewood HS; Lakewood, CO) and senior Ryan Trude (Mt. Lebanon HS; Pittsburgh, PA) each had three points a piece to go along with Stone’s three early goals. Utah State’s Brian Miller had three goals to lead the Aggies.

All of CSU’s four active goalies saw playing time throughout the game while USU’s Jaxton Evans made 13 saves in the defeat. CSU held a nice advantage in every statistical category as they coasted to the victory.
