Fifteen different Rams got in the scorebook as all dressed players got extensive minutes in the game. It took CSU nearly six minutes to get on the board as shot after shot either went wide or was saved by UNC goaltender Geoffrey Kaatz. Finally, after the Rams had exhausted just about every possible way to miss the net, attackman Danny Stevens (Suffern HS; Suffern, NY) reached up to catch a pass from Tyler Treece (Upper Arlington HS; Columbus, OH) and inadvertently tipped it into the net. After that, the floodgates opened and CSU began putting the ball away with regularity.

CSU was led in points by Treece (4g, 2a) and Stevens (3g, 3a) while freshman Will Cantwell (Lakewood HS; Lakewood, CO) notched a career high three goals. Andy LeSavage (Fairview HS; Boulder, CO) also added a goal against his former team after transferring to CSU from UNC this fall.

Colorado State (8-2 overall, 1-0 RMLC) will play the University of Denver club team on Saturday before getting into the meat of their conference schedule.
