SUNDAY SERMON

Well Team, we have our backs to the wall.  The snow is 'up' in Colorado and the thermometer is way, way down.  We've been on double secret probation around here so long that it must be up to triple by now, and as we all know it is know secret.

We haven't had a real game in an ungodly amount of time.  We will also not get sufficient practice and or practices in this week that leads up to our first game since Genadek (#47 – M- 200?) was a guppy.  This is not the way I wanted it to be.

I often don't feel like a Club team these days.  Rather I feel like a clubbed one, but screw it.  Boys, let's just do it.

ROAD HAZARDS

Santa Barbara lurks, but we have already been put on alert for game time and or location changes to come if (when) it rains.  It supposedly never rains in Southern California, but I guess when it does, "Man it pours".  We will have to adjust to that upcoming whatever, as if being on the road doesn't take adjustment enough as it is.

Nothing is ever easy or convenient for us.  To get games that mean something in the first place, we do 90% of the paying and traveling, and I'm not talking in state stuff.

MY DAYS OF WHINE AND BLACK ROSES

We constantly struggle to get practices and often must reserve and pay for fields and times so that we can have decent ones at all.

In California and most of the Southeast including Florida it does not snow.  Many of those MDIA teams have played a handful of games already.  This is an almost unfair advantage if you ask me (they don't).  The other main MDIA powers that are located in colder climes have nice enough indoor facilities to practice and or play in on campus.

BAH BAH, WE ARE THE BLACK SHEEP

I have so much faith in this team's ability that I do not really care about any of this, and notice that I did not say potential, although I have high hopes for that, too.  No, the truth is that we have done the work, we know our roles for the most part, and we trust, like and believe in each other enough for starters.  Obviously we need to do the basics well to be successful, but whether it is night or day, if it is lovely or if it rains and the mud is up to our ear holes, we are coming after you, whoever you are, and I'm saying we are a hungry bunch of Rammies desperately looking for someone to ram it up with.  We shall see if that in fact is the truth.  BAAAAAHHHH!

In spite of it all, where would you rather be?
