AUTUMN REVIEW

We were "Nothing but Money" to some and Nuthin' but Scandal to others this past Autumn. We didn't lose a game, but it seemed like we lost plenty of other things during the course of September, October, and the November/December to remember. We (the team) had some defections, a few needed injections, and of course we had an untimely inspection that took us down a path toward much further reflection. I have been pissed, some have been dismissed, and we all have been publicly dissed. Fall ball was a time for us to be discussed and unfortunately a time for us to be somewhat mussed by scandal.

We’ve been affected by hen peckers and red neckers. I have been too demanding. I have not been demanding enough. Some were deployed over there, others were either elsewhere employed, or were just somewhere else they more enjoyed.

The leaves blew off the trees quickly this fall, as if they were blasted into the air by a cannon, or a single gust of wind. As now becomes winter I’m not sure if all the fallers have yet come to rest and or found ground.

CSU lacrosse has metamorphosed through graduation, matricualation, and perhaps some plain and simple evacuation as well. Could I have been watching too much "Cat in the Hat" lately?

I can certainly see why people would get to where they have had more than enough of me (sick of). Truthfully I know exactly how they feel. Unfortunately I'm not just sure what to do about it, or how to "fix" or "get it well". I have to live with me. Others have choice.

GRATEFUL AND NOT YET DEAD

It has been a continuous and tumultuous stream of "off season" events. I have never faced so many seemingly discouraging turns so early/late in the year, but just the same I have come to like and feel confidence in the way the fickled river of fate is flowing and now going for this team. That's me all right, always go with the no symmetry is the best symmetry thing. I'm just planning to paddle like hell so my butt doesn't end up bathing in a pool of the proverbial blood left in the wake of this big year end flood.

TEAM FRANKENSTEIN

It sounds like we have several newcomers (transfers) coming in next semester. That's good, because we would hate to have everything settle down and become anywhere near "normal". That (being Abby Normal) seems to be part of what this year will be all about. I know it is all still way out there, well in the future (sort of), but I say, "Let the Freak Show begin!"
