IS IT SOMETHING?

We (Rock-it Pocket) have spent some time lately on the development of a women's pocket for the kind of lacrosse sticks women use (ones with very shallow pockets), a Rock-HER Pocket if you will.  I don't know if we can do (legal) what I am trying to accomplish, but I have been reading the women's 2004 rulebook.  I cannot find anywhere that it says the things that we are changing/trying are against the rules.

Now job one is to get pocket and head design tested because I haven't played that much women's lacrosse.  If this works we will need heads retooled or new look plastic heads for Rock-it Fem.  I wonder who could do that….

WATSON, COME HERE I NEED YOU

Pete (Jokisch, #3) has inspired (forced) me through this little off-season project this week. I have been flapping my lips on the subject for years but meanwhile for quite a while I have been doing almost nothing about working on this women's pocket and stick design.  He (Pete) is fairly incapable of being lazy, so he has been railroading me through this like it was his own mission.  I would say right now to Pete's future employers, whomever they might be, "Hire the boy!  He will do your company right."

ABBY NORMAL, or…  LIFE IS A BOX OF CHOCOLATES

I don't know if our little Frankenstick will float or sink like a stone.  I will say that I have played with women's sticks, but never before have I picked up a women's lacrosse stick that could do what the "prototype" I just finished can.  At least these are my thoughts tonight.  Let's run the leather and polyester flag up the flagpole and see if a lax goddess salutes, or if she deems the whole concept stupid or illegal (again).

I feel like we still have a long way to go with the process of development, but that finally we might possibly maybe be on a good design "track."  We shall see.

IT'S ALIVE!

I think we always could have made a marketable Rock-it Pocket for the women's game and style of lacrosse head, but up until now I didn't think the pocket would give the player an edge.  Little things like that are important to me.  Call me crazy.  Anyway, now I feel like we are on to something that might actually have a built in advantage, and now the women's part of the commercial lacrosse world sounds more interesting to me than it ever has.  It (women's) is the fastest growing lacrosse sector, there is no doubt about that.
