MOTHER MAY I
I am about to go to the CSU Ram Lacrosse formal cocktail party. Who knows what that will look like, but I sit here with Windsor knot expertly tied on this idiotic piece of silk around my neck. I can do this. When you strip all the crudeness away, I am basically a preppy.
This cocktail party is supposedly the final team drinking activity before we leave for what we have come to affectionately call "The Lou".. For some reason it was important that I come to this event. Normally this would be considered among my many non-party days, but since it seems to count so much towards my final grade, I'm there.
We had a very wonderful "final" practice today. I have no complaints for the week as a body of work, either. We are going in (National Championships) differently from any way that we ever have. That's a good thing. Our attitude is new (ish), our demeanor is unified, and the mission had been defined.
Here comes my wife, the Renaissance woman. She can nurse George and put on make up at the same time.
