RMILL DIVISION I SEMI-FINALS:
CSU 13 UTAH 2
BYU 11 COLRADO 3

We played a 10:00 a.m. game this morning and we played pretty well as a team right from the start. Having lost to the Utes earlier in the season, we were taking nothing for granted. We smothered them on the ride, and they could not get very many good offensive possessions. We worked and moved pretty well on offense, but we must do more tomorrow at 4:30, when we will face off with the BYU Cougars. BYU seems to be playing their best ball of the season. This doesn’t surprise me as I have watched Jason Lamb bring his team along all season. We have had some real battles with them through the years, and this shapes up to be another. I don’t know if we are playing our best ball, but we are coming along. Tomorrow’s game and games like this one are why we all do this.

We have an informal team dinner tonight, and I will plant some thought seeds for tomorrow in at least a few of them. I kind of already know the way I want us to approach the game. Then in the morning we will have a light practice at 11:00 on campus before we head down to the RMILL Championship festivities and ultimately the championship game.

I got kind of angry today during the game over something that doesn't matter a lick. I encourage us to play with passion all the time, so when someone from the "outside" even hints at disapproval of the way we project ourselves and or play, my immediate reaction is somewhat similar to a mother bear when someone calls her cubs ugly. In a nut shell that is sort of what happened. I pretty much kept a lid on everything, except for a little part of me of course (the smart*ss part my mother hated so much), and ultimately it was no big deal. I couldn't just let it all pass by though, and I wish I could have. I guess I haven’t been that angry since halftime against CU last week.
